The Patreon thing is the best way for me to keep developing games.
I already tried other methods like sponsoring, advertising, ... and none works well enough.
I sincerely do my best.
And if my patrons pledge enough I will be able to work full time for this activity, commission artists and writers and hire some team members.
It would be so great to create a game development studio thanks to the fans.
I know, I'm a crazy dreamer XD
So, yes, I think actual policy is very fair : Dev releases are patrons only access and final releases are public.
